Job Description
ChristianaCare is seeking a Full-Time Office Assistant to support the Hematology Oncology practice at the Helen F. Graham Center in Newark,DE.
The Office Assistant is the first point of contact between the practice and the patient and is responsible for creating a friendly, welcoming calm and efficient environment for the practice.
Work Schedule:
Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am - 4:30pm
No weekends/holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedules appointments with awareness of insurance, provider, and practice location
Interacts with patients in a professional manner to collect required demographic and financial information.
Processes/verifies referral information and eligibility for insurance reimbursement as needed.
Answers all phone calls in a professional manner and relays accurate messages.
Collects payments according to insurance requirements.
Verify insurance coverage & coordinates referrals.

Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent
Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
