We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Systems Analyst with a strong focus on the Manufacturing domain to join our global IT team. In this role, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our organization’s business objectives and its information technology capabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze, design, and implement effective IT solutions to enhance and streamline our manufacturing processes. This role also affords opportunities to lead and manage IT projects related to the manufacturing domain, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and project tracking to ensure successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Job Summary:
· Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders, including manufacturing teams, to gather and document detailed requirements for system enhancements, process improvements, and new initiatives
· Process Analysis: Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and systems to identify areas for optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction
· System Design: Develop detailed system design specifications and functional requirements that align with business needs and objectives, with a focus on manufacturing applications and technologies
· Solution Alternatives Analysis: Assess and recommend software solutions and technologies that support manufacturing processes, including ERP systems, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and other relevant software
· Data Analysis: Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, performance issues, and opportunities for data-driven decision-making
· Testing and Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute test plans, ensuring that solutions meet the defined requirements and are free from defects
· Change Management: Assist in planning and implementing change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes within the manufacturing domain
· Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flowcharts, system diagrams, and user guides
· Training: Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize new systems and technologies
· Problem Solving: Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with IT support teams to resolve technical problems promptly
· Compliance: Ensure that all IT solutions and processes within the manufacturing domain adhere to industry regulations, IT security standards, and company policies
· Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in manufacturing and IT, and recommend improvements to enhance business operations
· Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate project progress, milestones, and issues to relevant stakeholders, including senior management, manufacturing teams, and IT teams
· Vendor Management: Engage VMO office & collaborate with external vendors and third-party service providers to evaluate and select appropriate solutions and oversee vendor relationships for manufacturing-related projects
· Cyber security – ensure engagement of CISO and risk assessment of changes with planned mitigations, ensure policies are implemented and protocols adhered
RequirementsRequired Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
· Proven experience, over 5 years, as a Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on the Manufacturing domain
· Strong knowledge of integrations between production planning/scheduling, inventory & batch management, and quality controls with manufacturing processes
· Familiarity with manufacturing software, such as ERP systems and MES
· Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
