Job DescriptionWSFS Bank is currently seeking a Systems Engineer II on the Infrastructure team. The Systems Engineer II will serve as the primary escalation point for moderate to complex MS Office 365 and Teams and Azure AD/Entra ID problems both on-prem and in the Cloud. This position is for infrastructure engineers who will support the Microsoft framework; and will work with different Microsoft licensing models, managing access, recovery, and resource sharing best practices. In addition to serving as a subject-matter expert, they will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and expected to cross-train with the other infrastructure members to learn multiple areas of additional support at a triage level.
Position Responsibilities:
- Serving as a primary escalation point for Tier 2 and Tier 3 MS Office 365 and Teams and Azure AD/Entra ID problems, accountable for identifying and resolving root-causes.
- Successfully resolve assigned Tier 2 & Tier 3 issues and work outages in accordance with the banks Service level agreements (SLAs).
- Actively and effectively respond to client support tickets & work team queue.
- Engage system users, vendors, and stakeholders to understand and document their needs, requirements, issues, and risks to create understanding for both technical and non-technical groups.
- Writing and maintaining custom scripts and processes to increase automation, system efficiency, and lower downtime via methods such as vCron, PowerShell, and Power BI.
- Follow, and seek to improve, established systems engineering, configuration management, and change management processes.
- Representing the team as a technical expert; portraying professionalism and confidence in critical decision-making.
- Weekly presentation to the infrastructure team of variables, delays, and timeline.
- Active updating of project status within Planner and communication to senior leadership
- Participation in on-call support rotation both during working and after hours for one week per month.
This position follows a hybrid work schedule of a minimum of 3 days a week in the office. Fully remote work is not available. Incumbent must physically be able to work out of a manager-approved WSFS location in the Greater Philadelphia region.
The hired candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without an employer-sponsored petition for a visa, such as an H-1B visa. WSFS Bank does not intend to file any visa applications in connection with this opening.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience directly responsible for the design or integration of O365 (disciplined in Exchange, SharePoint, or Teams) and Azure/Entra ID (with emphasis on Synchronization, Enterprise Applications, and MFA).
- Previous hands-on experience with on-prem infrastructure (Active Directory and Microsoft Windows Server OS).
- Demonstrated experience with help desk ticketing systems.
- Proficiency in the configuration and diagnostics in at least some of the following technologies: Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Ability to participate in an on-call support rotation for one week per month, in addition to limited availability to support scheduled projects and DR testing.
- Ability to travel within the WSFS Bank footprint in the Greater Philadelphia region as needed.
- Experience with creation and modification of SSH file automation.
- Strong knowledge of common PowerShell commands and connection methods.
