As an AWS Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector in the Infrastructure Platforms team, you exhibit both depth and breadth of knowledge regarding software, applications, and technical processes across multiple technical disciplines. You also have a specialization in a specific domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
+ Creates new network extranet designs and presents at various approval committees
+ Serves as Team Lead function for resource assignment and Engineering Lead cover, and advises junior engineers and technologists
+ Be actively involved with major incidents impacting the network and understand the criticality.
+ Works in an agile fashion and manage team sprint targets.
+ Applies deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies focused on analyzing complex data and systems, anticipating issues, and finding ways to mitigate risk
+ Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
+ Manages infrastructure engineering in accordance with business requirements
+ Drives results and implements multiple complex programs
+ Drives thought leadership within the product line
+ Executes work according to compliance standards, risk and security, and business objectives
+ Considers upstream/downstream system or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
+ Demonstrate in-depth understanding of networking to include routing, switching, firewall, network monitoring and management.Expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS) demonstrating experience designing, configuring, provisioning, deploying, and troubleshooting solutions specifically at the network & security layer.
+ Hands-on experience of AWS Cloud networking concepts VPC, VPNs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, Peering connections, WAF, Route53, Elastic Load Balancers, AWS Network firewalls.
+ Good understanding of native cloud services/solutions with AWS, GCP, and Azure
+ Good knowledge of cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS), and network security.
+ Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
+ Solid skills in Git and CI/CD pipelines.
+ Knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
+ Adept in specific infrastructure technology and programming languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
+ Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ Experience with Terraform for Network Automation
+ AWS Certified Advanced Networking and Solutions Architect desired
