Job Summary (Primary function) The Sr. Director, Regional Accounts, Payer Team leads a team of Account Directors focused on accountability for select key regional accounts.Major responsibilities of the incumbent include strategy development and execution for these complex customers Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities) *Lead a team of Account Directors focused on strategic engagement with Incyte's most important regional customer accounts and field pull-through activities. *Ensure team develops and maintains strong customer management and strategic relationships with C-suite and senior management stakeholders within key customer and Regional Accounts to create and execute a top-down/bottom-up strategy. *Establish and maintain an in-depth understanding of key account needs, challenges, priorities, and opportunities, and effectively communicates key intelligence of customer and industry trends to internal partners and stakeholders. *Evaluate markets and customers to identify and develop opportunities that support the growth of the Dermatology and Oncology portfolios. *Lead the Account Director team to build and pull-through strategic plans for key regional accounts.Support team with problem solving. *Responsible and accountable for the successful creation and implementation of the strategic and tactical plan for the Regional Account Team. Establish metrics to ensure performance against the established team goals. *Responsible and accountable for managing and monitoring the Regional Account Team budget, ensuring effective investments, and spending. *Lead Regional contract strategy development, execution, and performance tracking. *Effectively communicate and collaborate with all Market Access, product strategy, sales, and medical affairs team members to identify opportunities and reduce barriers to accessing Incyte products within the national and regional strategic accounts. *Communicate appropriately with the Market Access Payer and Medical Affairs teams regarding account specific needs. *Coordinate and actively participate in customer and industry meetings. *Identify team and account needs and work with Market Access Marketing and other HQ cross-functional teams to develop resources that address the needs of the commercial business at the account level. *Contribute to the development and presentation of quarterly business reviews demonstrating achievement of key metrics, annual budgets, and strategic planning exercises. *Ensure implementation of individual Account Director goals through alignment to overarching team strategy and objectives. *Ensure compliance to and establish policies appropriate for the function. *Develop people and a pipeline of talent of future leaders. Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency) *Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry - Hematology/Oncology experience and Dermatology experience preferred. *Direct Payer Experience with key Regional Health Plans ex. Regional Blues Plans, Select Health, Medica, Point 32 etc. A thorough understanding of Regional Account Management. *Demonstrated field pull-through experience *Previous National Account Experience preferred. *Direct management of staff required. Previous team/sales leadership preferred. *Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and lead cohesive and productive teams. *Minimum 5 years of experience in any of the Market Access segments of the business: reimbursement, health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, & distribution. *Detailed knowledge of payer/PBM economics and contracting: understanding key issues in the changing US healthcare landscape. *In-depth pharmaceutical market knowledge: including prescribing trends, government regulations, supply chain, managed care, sales and legal considerations. *Strategic thinking: understand account priorities and impact on individual decision-makers. *Consultative partnerships: ability to identify emerging...
