BDO USA, P.C. (FKA BDO USA, LLP) seeks Senior Manager, Tax Automation and Innovation in Wilmington, DE.
Job Duties: Utilizing industry experience in order to collaborate with clients of the firm and team members to implement tax automation tools. Lead team to assess client tax department needs for automation across tax data, process, technology, and workforce. Responsible for client engagements including optimization and implementation of existing client tools, custom BDO tax and data solutions or 3rd party vendor solutions. Oversee the engagements from proposal and scoping phase to design, build, test and deployment as well as development of training and documentation. Collaborate with other offices within the firm to manage other business line engagement teams to deliver tax solutions to their clients as well as support the firm through development of new internal tax solutions. Identify opportunities to expand current business and reach out to prospective clients, leveraging business domain expertise and business functions to design customized technology and business solutions, and develop unique strategies aligned with business objectives. Lead internal and external executive level meetings such as proposal delivery and solutions workshops and work plan for tax consulting projects. Gather requirements, provide estimation of fees and prepare high level scoping and proposed solutions for internal projects and client proposals. Supervise drafting of clear and compelling proposals and business cases. Establish internal standards and processes for the practice. Architect solutions to address all facets of developing new business capabilities such as Strategy, Organization and People, Processes and Controls, and Technology and Enabling Tools. Provide support to Tax AI leaders in setting strategy, establishing methodology and determining the appropriate work plan. Ensure risk mitigation and quality assurance in the client engagements. Supervise Managers, Senior Associates and Associates, Tax Automation & Innovation. Travel to various unanticipated client sites and BDO office locations nationally.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or Technology or related plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Manager or a Senior Associate in Tax Automation & Innovation or a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or Technology or related plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or as Manager or a Senior Associate in Tax Automation & Innovation or a related occupation.
Must have experience with the following: Oracle, Thomson Reuters, ONESOURCE, Longview, Corptax or GoSystems; RPA tools: UiPath, Blue Prism, PowerAutomate, Automation Anywhere, or WinAutomation; ETL tools: Power Query, Power Pivot or Tableau Prep; Visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau or Qlik; Microsoft Excel; Engagement management: Preparation of budgets, project plans, engagement letters, billing or collection.
