Unique opportunity to work as an environmental chemist in support of a well-established portfolio of chemical and industrial clients. This is not a laboratory position. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
Main Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work with project teams to establish scope of analytical requirements, data quality objectives and analytical delivery schedules.
Propose appropriate analytical methods and techniques and assist in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.
Place analytical orders with directed and/or client approved laboratories.
Coordinate work between field and laboratories and provide support to field sampling teams.
Monitor progress of analyses against project delivery due dates and provide updates to project team and clients as necessary.
Review laboratory data packages in accordance with EPA guidance to ensure compliance with published analytical methods and usability of environmental data.
Upload laboratory analytical data to specific clients and regulatory databases.
Manage data in relational database systems such as Locus EIM, EarthSoft EQuIS and/or Microsoft Access.
Manipulate electronic data deliverables to create report-ready tables and visualizations.
Participate in the development of new data management workflows and automated tools.
Prepare technical documentation, memoranda and white papers to be included in client deliverables.
Perform receipt of services tasks.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, environmental science, or other related discipline.
6+ years of relevant experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in chemistry, environmental science, or another related discipline.
10+ years of environmental chemistry experience.
Knowledge of analytical chemistry principles (i.e., quality assurance and quality control, method development, etc.)
Knowledge or experience with the analytical challenges presented by per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
Experience using relational databases such as Locus EIM, EarthSoft EQuIS and/or Microsoft Access.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Relevant technical writing experience.
Ability to organize data in an efficient and clear manner.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience in data validation and writing data usability reports.
Experience performing chemical analysis in an academic or commercial setting.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $120,000.
