The Director EBS Innovation is responsible for the organization’s global innovation, including developing the vision, strategy and executional elements to deliver growth across existing and future product and/or service categories with a consumer focus.

You will further steward the brand equity of all our businesses through its expansion, ensuring cohesion across new products and preservation within legacy categories.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

+ Identifies customer problems to solve, and builds bridges between innovation, engineering, and product management teams.

+ Support targeted areas of improvement (e.g., improved value proposition process, VOC, ethnography, the “Lean Startup” methods) by developing, testing methodologies/workflows.

+ Work closely with R&D, Product Marketing, and Product Planning across multiple business units to drive innovation that creates high value.

+ Coach by actively participating in the critical thinking behind all projects within the group, ensuring the group continually executes on-time and on-strategy; this position may also lead critical projects, as needed.

+ Present business cases and opportunities to stakeholders, executive leadership and colleagues while facilitating meaningful and constructive exchanges of ideas and knowledge.

+ Drive our strategic product roadmap to fulfill growth and objectives. Extend our understanding of industry, category and product drivers; leverage our current knowledge of consumer trends and key needs states while also increasing our capabilities.

+ Collaborate with key leaders across the organization to shape our consumer research agenda and its execution across products.

+ Collaborate / Mentor at the highest levels (President, direct reports and site leaders) to provide ‘productive tension’ at collaboration and broadly to utilize Envista Business system to drive sustainable results.

Job Requirements:

+ BS/BA required, MBA preferred.

+ 5+ years of experience in new product development.

+ 5+ years’ leadership experience in Innovation processes, especially identifying customer needs for new products, road mapping, and product definition.

+ 5+ years in market research, strong understanding and application of SAM and TAM concepts, coupled with the ability to foster market alignment with commercial teams

+ 2+ years’ Ability to form strong and meaningful relationships with others and an ability to influence top business leadership.

+ Demonstrated successful leadership and proficiency in building and implementing innovation workflows for a global organization.

+ Able to present self with appropriate demeanor in meetings with CEO, Business Unit. presidents, and their staff.

+ Experience driving real results in a fast-moving, highly innovative environment.

+ Curious about lean thinking and innovation methodologies, constantly pulling in techniques and insights from outside Envista.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

+ Dental industry experience (i.e., implants, imaging, or orthodontics)

+ MBA or like graduate degree

+ Demonstrated experience working with EBS or like business system.

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
