Job Description
The Planning & Analysis Group is responsible for partnering within the business and across the Firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, central oversight and coordination of firmwide budgeting and forecasting, macroeconomic scenario design and distribution, and strategic program management and execution including the Firmwide Forecasting Framework. This includes oversight for firmwide reporting across all four Line of Business (LOB): Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), Asset Management (AM), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) and Commercial Bank (CB).
As a Financial Planning & Analysis Associate within the Planning & Analysis Group, you will have the opportunity to primarily support the strategic analysis of our financial planning framework. You will partner closely with our Line of Business (LOB) teams and functions for core financial reporting, process improvement, ad-hoc analysis and due diligence. In this role, you will also contribute to promoting and improving automation, simplifying processes and enhancing analytics. This role provides a unique opportunity to improve your analytical skills and work in a dynamic environment.
Job responsibilities:
+ Perform analysis of business performance, including development of monthly business reviews for senior leaders
+ Work on the planning cycle, including annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and analysis of variances to the plan and capital stress testing
+ Conduct Ad-hoc analysis of the business and business drivers. Identify opportunities for business improvement and recommend actions across the business
+ Provide analytical support for business strategy, including ownership of strategic deliverables
+ Work closely with other Line of Business (LOB) Planning & Analysis (P&A) teams and the CIB P&A team
+ Ensure data integrity, accuracy and timeliness in all financial reporting
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
+ 4+ years of experience in a medium to large diverse organization in Finance/Accounting and or management consulting
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
+ Experience in planning, forecasting, budgeting Planning & Analysis (P&A role)
+ Strong quantitative, critical thinking and analytic skills, excellent quantitative and analytical problem solving skills, confidence with finance and accounting concepts, understanding of financial statements, has the ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex concepts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and provide strong documentation
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
+ Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills – ability to synthesize financial information into concise, insightful and actionable recommendations comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management
+ Strong proficiency with PowerPoint required, proficiency with PitchPro preferred
+ Exceptional attention to detail related to providing accurate and timely data
