Description The Senior Cost Analyst will have a responsibility to provide financial support for operations and commercial-related operational spending. This role will report directly to the Manager, Operations FP&A in Wilmington, DE. You will work closely with key stakeholders in operations, commercial and finance, covering our North America footprint. This role will be closely connected with operations in terms of setting up processes, reviewing actual spending, Budget, Forecast, and Productivity, and ensuring proper operational month-end closing. You also be responsible for: Conduct in-depth analysis of costs associated with various business operations. Evaluate cost trends and variances to identify areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvement. Develop and implement cost-effective measures to enhance overall company profitability. Financial Reporting - Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including cost analysis findings, to senior management and collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Budgeting and Forecasting - Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing insights to ensure alignment with organizational goals and contribute to the forecasting process by providing accurate and data-driven cost projections. Process Improvement - Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement cost-effective strategies and work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance overall efficiency. Data Management - Gather, analyze, and interpret complex financial data, as well as maintain databases and systems for efficient data retrieval and reporting. Qualifications Degree in Accounting 3+ years experience within the finance field, preferably within cost/plant accounting SAP / ERP Systems experience (or knowledge of SAP material ledger) highly desired Proficient in use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), must have strong excel stills Excellent interpersonal skills with outstanding verbal/written communications skills Self-starter; motivated to learn and operate independently Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility Experience establishing and developing productive working relationships with cross functional teams Demonstrated ability to operate across a wide range of business and technology environments at both a strategic and a tactical level.
