Experis IT (a ManpowerGroup company) has partnered with a leading financial services organization. The job location is in Newark, DE | Chicago, IL for a contract Sr. Java Developer to assist their team. We require candidates who are willing to provide their last 5 years of W2 records (The client will conduct a thorough background check upon hire). The candidates must be local and W2 only; no third-party candidates will be accepted at this time.

Job Summary:
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Developer to take ownership of our critical Loader Java applications. These applications play a pivotal role in supporting Never Down balances and distributed solutions within our organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Ownership:
2. Take full ownership of Loader Java applications, ensuring their reliability and optimal performance.
3. Lead a team of developers, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with organizational objectives.
5. Technical Expertise:
6. Utilize core Java skills to design, develop, test, and maintain robust applications.
7. Proficient in working with MemSQL and MySQL databases to optimize data storage and retrieval.
8. Implement solutions that contribute to the high availability and scalability of Never Down balances and Holding distributed systems.
9. Problem Solving:
10. Identify and troubleshoot issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime for critical applications.
11. Implement effective solutions to enhance the overall reliability and performance of the systems.
12. Collaboration:
13. Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers and system architects, to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
14. Foster a collaborative and innovative development environment.
Requirements:
1. Education and Experience:
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
3. Proven experience as a Lead Developer with a focus on Java applications.
4. Technical Skills:
5. Expertise in Core Java development.
6. Hands-on experience with MemSQL and MySQL databases.
7. Familiarity with distributed systems and balancing solutions.
8. Communication:
9. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
10. Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
