The Role

As Senior Director Transformation Office you will play a pivotal role in shaping the long-term success of Lumen by leading the Transformation office which oversees critical initiatives aimed at reducing $300M+ in costs and improving customer experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive impactful change and contribute to by pushing initiative owners and squads leads to re-examine how things are done and to challenge their assumptions about what is possible. You will not replace line leaders, but rather you provide “leverage”, so that transformation initiatives and day-to-day business runs at full speed in parallel.

The Main Responsibilities

+ Lead the Transformation Office: Direct and mentor a team of high-performing professionals responsible for developing and executing transformation initiatives aligned by workstreams (e.g., Opex, Capex, Netex, Decommissioning, off-shoring and Service Delivery). Collaborate and support the BU’s on planning initiatives for evaluation and implementation.

+ Support execution of Initiatives: Empower initiative owners and squad leaders to identify and implement cost-savings and customer experience initiatives through rigorous governance to drive accountability & transparency, constant alignment with Finance to build trust, escalation management to remove blockers and cross-functional collaboration to accelerate pace.

+ Drive process offshoring: Orchestrate process offshoring or in-sourcing execution and change management working closely with Lumen process owners and Lumen India CoE team

+ Strategic Planning: Provide strategic leadership from the Transformation Office to cross-functional teams during the lifecycle of Transformation initiatives. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and refine Ops strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment and achievement of organizational objectives and financial targets

+ Tracking and Reporting: Implement tools to enable gating workflow with stakeholder approvals, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as costs, delivery intervals and tNPS, and reporting mechanisms to monitor the progress and effectiveness of all Enterprise Operations transformational initiatives.

+ Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Evaluate potential initiative risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate their impact on operations and financial performance.

+ Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and support for strategic initiatives. Provide leadership to cross-functional teams during lifecycle of Transformation Initiatives, development, deployment, post-deployment activities.

+ Change Management and value capture: Support change management to ensure adoption of new processes and practices across the organization and ensure value capture to reflect initiative impact in Lumen financial performance

What We Look For in a Candidate

+ Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Engineering or related experience in Wireline Technology

+ 12+ years of experience in Wireline Engineering, Operations. strategic planning, transformation, and operational excellence to facilitate OPEX & CAPEX reduction methodologies and best practices

+ 5+ years of experience in a leadership role

+ Positive and proactive process management with an eye for detail and a strong ownership mentality

+ Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams in driving large-scale transformation initiatives.

+ Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

+ Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization.

+ Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with execution.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
