Job Description
JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Software Engineer in Wilmington, DE.
DUTIES: Contribute to all phases of the application development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, development, testing, and deployment. Assist with Agile software development process. Enact Scrum values and practices. Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation. Gather, analyze, access, and adjust the requirements as needed. Enhance the existing features by completing the Software development life cycle without disrupting the existing flow of the application. Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, component testing, integration testing, and End to End Testing capabilities. Maintain detailed records of experiments including POC (Proof of Concepts) and outcomes. Conduct analyses and literature reviews, and participate in peer work reviews. Contribute to technical and functional demonstrations and access code changes and new functionalities added to the system. Identify and resolve any technical issues that occur. Implement continuous monitoring to support the application and handle any production issues raised by End users. Perform Release Master duties. Distribute releases on an ad-hoc or monthly basis. Create release branches, deploy the release branches to UAT and gather the testing signoff from the End users. Implement a variety of proofs and merge the code with the master branch after PROD deployment. Create detailed design documentation of all the work being done. Assist with Tech Stack upgrades and adapt new technology with business policies. Perform resiliency activities to make sure the application is functional in times of disasters.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Application Developer, Java Developer, or related occupation. Requires experience in the following: Core and Enterprise Java; Spring framework including Spring Boot, Spring Core, Spring Cloud, and Spring Test; Micro-services, Monolithic architecture and SOLID principles; Data structures; Automated testing using Cucumber, Mockito Framework and Junit; Front end technologies including Javascript, Typescript, and AngularJS ; Databases including MongoDB, DB2, Oracle and SQL; Application design using distributed caching; Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins; Build tools such as Maven and Gradle; Version control tools such as Git or Bit-Bucket; Public Cloud development such as AWS; and supporting applications during production and UAT.
