Job Description

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

As a Senior Architect/Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. You will work alongside a dedicated team to ensure the successful execution of Clinical Specific Initiatives, Non-Recurring Maintenance, and Minor or Major projects.

This is contingent upon the award of the project and the expected duration of the contract is three years.

Key responsibilities:

+ Lead the planning, programming, design, and construction of projects at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center

+ Prioritize the retention of well-performing staff to ensure continuity and excellence in project execution.

+ Provide a monthly breakdown of hours spent on each project.

+ Ensure adherence to professional standards and maintain a focus on quality control and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

+ Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals.

+ Guide and mentor junior team members.

+ Ensure the highest level of construction management services.

+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:?

+ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or engineering from an accredited institution.

+ Professional Engineer or Architect preferred.

+ Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, architectural design, or engineering, with a proven track record of success in overseeing complex construction projects.

+ Experience in healthcare-related projects is highly desirable

+ Demonstrated expertise in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution, with a strong focus on quality control and safety.

+ Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with team members, contractors, and government representatives.

+ Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
