Landscape Laborer. 4 temporary, full-time positions. 04/01/2024 to 12/29/2024. Zscape Landscaping, LLC, located at 2749 Old County Road, Newark, DE 19702. Email: zscapellc415@gmail.com . Tasks: Dig holes with shovels for plants and gutters; Use rakes to till soil for grass seed, grade the mulch, and rake leaves; install mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Assist with the installation of patios by bringing gravel, sand, and other supplies from the truck to the worksite both manually and with wheelbarrows. Installation of irrigation systems using shovels to dig 8” deep trenches. Laying irrigation pipe in the trenches. Using hand tools such as cutters and crimpers to cut and secure fittings to newly installed sprinkler head. Move low voltage wire and lights from trucks by hand or with wheelbarrows, lay wire in planting beds, and cover wire with mulch. 8-hour workday. 7am-3:30pm, M-F. OT hours possible, need varies. 40 hours. No minimum education or experience required. The employee will not supervise other workers. Travel will be required. Daily transportation provided by the employer to worksites. Work will be performed in the following counties: New Castle County DE, Kent County DE, Sussex County DE, Chester County PA, Delaware County PA, Cecil County MD, and Kent County MD. Wage: $18.71. OT Wage: $28.07. Workers are paid weekly. On the job training provided. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any worker in the specified occupation, at the company’s sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill and tenure. Single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers’ reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence provided at a rate of at least $15.46/day during travel to a maximum of $59/day with receipts. H2B Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job, and guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of total employment period.
