Job Description
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:
+ Define and execute a comprehensive research plan.
+ Identify best method or mix of quantitative and qualitative methods based on priorities, research questions, timeline, and resourcing.
+ Design, conduct, and analyze results from a variety of research studies including usability lab studies, remote research, field studies and survey design.
+ Conduct prototype and concept testing to validate ideas and usability
+ Share insights across our team in creative ways to help them understand the needs of our employees and agents, inform design decisions, and improve the usability of our product
The ideal candidate will bring:
+ 5+ years of experience conceptualizing and executing studies in a research-intensive environment.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction HCI, Human Machine Interaction HMI, Anthropology, Sociology), or equivalent practical experience.
+ Experience working as a mixed-methods researcher (leaning either qualitatively or quantitatively) user research for digital products.
+ Understanding of strengths and weaknesses of different research methods, and when and how to apply them in the product development process.
+ A higher than usual degree of user empathy, and will be able to tell a compelling story about the motivations and intentions of our users, inspiring all stakeholders towards “Aha!” moments.
+ Be able to take sometimes, fuzzy-headed notions and craft those into solid, testable research hypotheses around which you will design and deliver the appropriate research
+ Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
+ A passion and capacity to advocate on behalf of our users.
+ A portfolio or case studies demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas).
