About the Role: We are looking for an experienced attorney to work closely with its business groups to provide broad-based legal and professional support to Core Technology, which drives research, development, and intermediate manufacturing capability to support and supply Gore divisions & innovation. In this role you will be advising the Enterprise in commercial and counsel areas in support of Core Technology research & development and manufacturing supply chain for Gore's business divisions and innovation center of excellence.

This position offers multiple work arrangements, including on-site at our facility in Newark, Delaware. Hybrid and fully remote work allowed in most locations within the United States, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.*

Provide proactive general legal counsel to Core Technology in support of the Core Technology General Counsel, advising the Core Technology team and functions regarding business strategy and relevant legal issues, including identification of legal risk and liability avoidance
Work closely with the Core Technology business and shared function groups to help them navigate product development, external collaborations, commercialization, licensing and IP rights, and product capability features/claims/specifications
Draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements for Core Technology, including technology license, joint development, material transfer, research, collaboration, supply (buy and sell), confidential disclosure, service, consulting, software & hardware, transportation, and manufacturing agreements
Collaborate with legal team colleagues to develop and revise best practices, processes, templates and tools to advance the delivery of legal services
Identify, develop and deliver internal training to targeted associate audiences on relevant legal topics
Provide legal advice to the contract professionals/managers on a wide variety of contracts 
Coordinate with other legal team in-house specialists, counterparts in other Regions, as well as outside counsel, to secure necessary expertise and ensure that business needs are met.
Recognize the importance of building and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships
Demonstrate strong support for the Gore culture


Required Qualifications: 
Completed law degree, admitted to practice law as necessary to fulfil the role
Minimum 5 years combined business and legal experience, which must include at least 3 years of direct legal experience 
Practical experience in complex commercial and transactional legal issues relating to the development, manufacture, distribution, and sale of products involving diverse technologies across different markets
Excellent analytical, organization, communication and 
Ability to function independently and in a self-directed manner, to achieve successful commercial outcomes for clients by understanding business objectives and presenting practical solutions
Orientation towards teaming, collaboration, and achieving results via influence, developing strong relationships with business clients and legal team colleagues
Demonstrated ability to apply legal knowledge and judgment to business clients, which may include experience in or demonstrated aptitude for in-house counseling - including triage and issue spot quickly and competently across multiple legal areas, communicate complex legal challenges clearly to business associates, apply commercial and contract law to help inform and advise in a practical manner to advance business interests
Strong understanding of the intellectual property aspects of business transactions
Demonstrated ability to navigate in a responsive and proactive manner, in a dynamic, cross-functional, multi-cultural and multi-national environment with both local and remote teams, with quickly changing priorities and multiple tasks 
Ability to travel up to 10% primarily in the United States, subject to potential increase in domestic travel depending on office location; international travel may be required occasionally

Desired Qualifications: 
Scientific or Technical degree or experience, or experiences working with USPTO 
Experience supporting green technology products and sustainability initiatives
Experience providing antitrust advice
