Your Role as the Senior Buyer/ Planner
As the Senior Buyer/ Planner for this manufacturing organization, you will provide leadership to the procurement, vendor management, production control and inventory areas. Responsibilities include:
Analyze material needs to ensure uninterrupted flow of materials for production
Create jobs to drive WIP
Identify, develop and manage vendor and supplier relationships
Negotiate price and delivery times
Manage procurement of assigned components to include order placement and material resolution
Create and maintain reports and production schedules
Maintain accurate finished goods, WIP and material resource planning
Utilize Lean principles to maintain efficiencies in supply chain management
Manage inventory, annual inventory turnover, product on-time delivery, and vendor performance
Background Profile
Expertise in a buyer/ planner role within a manufacturing facility
Strong communication, planning, and analytical skills
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes and an ERP/MRP system
Demonstrated leadership ability
Experience in domestic and international procurement
Bachelor's Degree in supply chain or related discipline
