Overview

 

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting the accounting teams' accounting activities with general ledgers and journals and other various accounting activities. The position also supports our vendors with accounts set up and maintenance as well as invoice research as necessary as well as supports ongoing projects. In certain states, this position manages all aspects of Vendor of Record (VOR) orders, invoicing, Accounts Receivable aging, and other miscellaneous accounting duties.

 


Responsibilities

 

Process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounting or financial records, and provides other clerical support necessary. In certain states, responsible for performing billing, purchase order management, and fostering strong supplier relationships for all Vendor of Record (VOR) needs.
Clarifies any questionable invoice items, prices, or receiving signatures; obtains proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments. Assembles invoices to be completed for payment.
Supports processes which may include: monthly close, budgeting, invoice tracking etc.
Follow-up on past due invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
Others miscellaneous duties as needed.

 


Qualifications

 

High School Diploma
3 years' experience required within accounting or finance depending on area of accounting
Prior experience in orders/accounts receivable a plus
SAP or similar ERP software experience a plus
