Scientist – Electronics and Imaging (E&I) Leveraged Analytical Sciences Group

Job Description:

The E&I Leveraged Analytical Sciences (LAS) group is a global analytical science organization supporting DuPont’s Electronics and Industrial businesses. The Wilmington (LAS) function located at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, DE is seeking to employ a Scientist, with responsibilities in chemical and physical analyses. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting projects locally and globally within LAS and will be expected to partner with businesses in E&I. He/she must be highly motivated, flexible, and responsive to the changing priorities within the Electronics and Imaging (E&I) business.

Responsibilities:

+ Be proficient in physical and chemical analytical techniques, to include Separation Sciences and Spectroscopic techniques, including sample preparation.

+ Safely operate and maintain analytical laboratory equipment

+ Think creatively, trouble shoot and work in partnership with business project leaders to develop innovative solutions based on sound scientific analysis

+ Manage time and projects effectively and efficiently, cooperating across analytical competencies

+ Generate analytical reports to meet R&D, product qualification, and competitive analysis and benchmarking needs

+ Fulfill all requirements of group, site, and company safety, ethics, and quality programs

Qualifications:

+ BS with experience or MS degree in Chemistry, Physics, or related field

+ Minimum 3 years analytical experience in an industrial or academic setting

+ Demonstrated ability to partner cohesively and work independently as needed while integrating functional guidance from senior associates.

+ Willing to adopt new skill sets in multiple analytical competencies

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills

Required Skillsets :

+ Proficiency in Separation science chromatographic and Spectroscopic techniques with troubleshooting knowledge.

+ Extensive experience with analytical instrumentation software packages for instrument control and data interpretation

+ Efficiency in problem solving and providing integrated solutions.
