W&P Global Engineering Technology Leader

W&P seeks a highly motivated, technical and strategic leader with strong execution, organization and talent management skills as well as the ability to engage and build relationships across functions with focus on Manufacturing Technology, Capital Execution and Operations. We seek a person of vision, integrity and commitment, with a strong foundation in people leadership, solid business acumen, as well as substantial program leadership and influencing experience. The role will report to the Global Manufacturing & Engineering Leader and will work closely with the W&P Manufacturing Technology organization.

Responsible for :

• Leading a group of technical professionals in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, Materials and Process Equipment engineering competencies to support key business projects and programs

• Serving as a strong role model for advancing DuPont core values and cultural principles

• Creating and fostering an open and collaborative work environment, managing performance and championing the development and growth of direct reports

• Actively managing engineering competencies and capabilities including engaging external partners that can help to augment capacity to support changing business portfolio and enterprise-wide focus in sustainability, digital, and other emerging technologies

• Proactively engage with leaders in the Manufacturing Technology, Capital, Operations and R&D organizations to understand priorities and opportunities and connect the technical professionals to the opportunities

• Actively serving as a member of W&P Manufacturing Technology leadership team tasked with defining and executing strategic objectives to grow and improve the business

Minimum Job Requirements

• BS in Engineering, MS/PhD preferred

• Combined minimum of 10 years in Technology, Manufacturing Technology and/or Operations. Experience working with business and capital project teams is a

o Minimum 5 years of experience leading a technical group

o Minimum of 2 years’ experience at a plant site in Operations or Manufacturing Technology role.


• Strong leadership and influence management skills with a strategic mindset and strong focus on delivering results, and championing diversity, equity and inclusion

• Ability to manage ambiguity and to persevere in the face of challenges with relentless commitment to personal and organizational excellence

• Drive necessary organization and culture changes to support business needs and organizational growth.

• Ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple concurrent activities and deliver on commitments under tight time constraints


• Strong technical skills with demonstrated expertise in an engineering competency

• Strong business acumen and understanding of how businesses deliver value. Good understanding of corporate functions, lines of businesses and roles within the businesses.

• Ability to grasp technical and business concepts quickly and engage stakeholders and resources effectively to support business needs

• Proficient in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)


• Strong influence management skills to drive risk-based decisions for the benefit of the company

• Strong interpersonal and people development skills and ability and commitment to foster an inclusive environment

• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication e.g. ability to present complex information and to communicate effectively with all parts of the organization and at all levels

• Ability to guide, motivate, and strengthen the organization through effective delegation, active listening, recognition of excellence, and managing team performance with transparency
