Job Responsibilities

Air Liquide's Delaware Innovation Campus seeks a skilled technician for the Facilities Support Team. This role will focus on installation and support of mechanical equipment within the campus. Work schedule is generally Monday through Friday, days with only occasional evenings or weekend work. Qualified US military veterans are encouraged to apply!

Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a safety role model; promote a high level of safety awareness; adhere to and support the continuous improvement of all safety practices / procedures.
Machining and fabrication to support Campus
General mechanical lab and pilot setups.
Installation of gas tubing and valve systems including Orbital welding of tubing systems. Including Valve panel fabrication.
Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors and rotating equipment.
Perform general repairs for Campus from work requests, troubleshooting, repair of equipment, and resolution of technical and operational issues.
Participate in the creation, updates and reviews of HAZ-OPS, P&IDs, and SOPs.
Assist Facilities personnel in other occupations as needed. This is a multi-craft position.
Work as part of a cross-functional team to support research.
Work occasional overtime, on call shifts and fill in on other shifts as needed which may require weekend or evening work

High School Diploma
5 or more years of experience in plant maintenance, laboratory, process industry, pharmaceutical support or comparable military setting
Demonstrates strong process and operational safety behavior at all times.
Machining and Fabrication experience
Knowledge in piping and tubing installation methods including troubleshooting and repairs.
Knowledge of pumps, compressors and fan systems for installation, troubleshooting and repairs.
Ability to use hand and power tools including forklift operation, lifts, etc
Solution-oriented, with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
The functional ability using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for Work Orders, PM's etc.
Knowledge to read drawings and blueprints, P&ID's, layout work, etc.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Federal, State, and Local regulations, etc.
Must have strong command of English, both verbal and written

Technical AAS Degree or Military training
8 or more years of experience in plant maintenance, laboratory, process industry, pharmaceutical support or comparable military setting.
Knowledge in gas systems
Orbital welding of gas tubing systems ability.
Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems which should include plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, water system, etc. for facilities repair
