The Principal/Sr. Research Investigator will support multiple projects of antibody drug discovery, performing activities of biochemical and biophysical characterizations of antigen and antibody (mAb and bispecific and other novel modality), in supporting antibody screening, design, engineering, and production.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily operation of the biologics analytical lab including analytical and biophysical assay development
Support of antibody drug discovery projects, including target validation, library screening, hit validation, lead optimization and developability assessment
Act as a bioanalytical expert in antibody discovery project teams and collaborating with pharmacology and development teams
Manage and utilize both external and internal resources to achieve research goals
Responsible for biologics inventory and compound management including automation
Responsible for introducing and developing novel technologies for antibody drug discovery, especially in the field of protein analytics and biophysical characterizations
Minimum Requirements
Ph.D. in biophysics, biochemistry, or related field, with post-doctoral experience in protein science or engineering. 5-years of post-graduate experience required, preferable in an pharmaceutical or biotech setting
M.S./B.S. with at least 10 years industrial experiences in pharmaceutical/biotech
Strong background in protein science, structure biology with experience in antibody drug discovery
hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of biophysical and analytical methods including SPR, ITC, DSC, DSF, and SEC-MALS
Experience in protein MS and protein molecular spectroscopy preferred
Experience in protein or antibody expression, purification, and conjugation preferred
Experience in automation preferred
Experience in protein/antibody database, bioinformatics and homology modeling preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-driven, independent, creative with ability to support multiple programs simultaneously
