The AVP Global Manufacturing Mass Spectrometry may be located in either US or in China and will report to the Global Instrument Manufacturing Vice President & General Manager. He/She is responsible for providing the strategic leadership and management for the Worldwide MSD manufacturing operations with factories, NPI operations and software order fulfilment operations located in Delaware, Singapore, Santa Clara and Colorado. With innovative approaches this individual will ensure to best meet customer demands in all aspects. He/she will ensure that a highly efficient organization is being developed to strengthen the organization for the future. He/she will be responsible to chart and execute the order fulfilment strategy to enable divisional growth in topline and in gross margin.
Key position responsibilities:
Responsible for KPIs for the 3 international factories:
- Production lines for multiple product types
- Production Engineering/NPI Engineering
- Production planning
- TIS functions
- Tactical Procurement
- Quality control
- Supporting functions
Meet and exceed divisional goals for Gross Margin, Customer Required Delivery Dates (CRDD), Defect on Arrival (DEFOA), improve Warranty, Compliance and Leadership Audit Survey scores.
Develop highly efficient and record-breaking transfer model with minimum business distraction in all areas including success transfers of new products to manufacturing and the seamless integration and alignment with the R&D organization
Develop and implement Continuous Improvement and Intelligent Automation programs designed to maximize capacity/utilization and ensure the highest quality at the lowest cost in a safe working environment.
Identify opportunities for local sourcing to optimize GOGS while improving parts quality
Develop and apply appropriate metrics for manufacturing goals and objectives in terms of production output, cost, quality, budgeting and forecasting, as well as the ongoing results of continuous improvement initiatives
Recommend and implement appropriate enhancements to ensure the achievement of the company's long-term objectives
Drive industry leading manufacturing concepts and tools and ensure the organization embraces and actively utilizes lean principles and mind set
Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in engineering, science or business
Minimum 10 years of progressive management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
demonstrated sound leadership experience within a global environment
demonstrated capability in leading a diverse team to achieve unified outcomes and breakthroughs.
cGMP/ISO 13485 hands-on experience.
ability to establish strategic partnerships and relationships cross-functionally and across businesses
proven track record of results in setting, implementing and achieving business strategies within a manufacturing organization
