Job Description

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Software Engineer in Wilmington, Delaware.

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for the design, architecture, development and implementation of application software. Develop applications that address business needs using latest technologies. Utilize mature programming methodologies and languages, while adhering to coding standards, procedures and techniques. Contribute to technical code documentation. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. Perform design reviews and provide design recommendations and incorporate security requirements into design. Understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps and adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing processes. Incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop and enhance software application modules. Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications. Work with a team of software developers spread across multiple locations. Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues. Review and provide feedback to the final user documentation. Design and develop cloud-ready micro-services. Manage application on-boarding and deployment to cloud. Support applications in production and resolve issues reported by end users. Build Connect ready applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Technology Assistant, Consultant (IT), or related occupation. Employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years of experience.
