Job Description
Bayhealth Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacist. Job duties include: Engaging in safe, effective and timely medication distribution and administration. Reviews prescriber's orders for appropriateness relative to the patient's condition, height, weight, allergies and age. Reviews prescriber's orders for appropriateness and compliance with legal requirements, institutional policies and procedures, and drug use restrictions. Researches medication dosages, indications, interactions, compatibility, and administration when requested by healthcare professionals. Participates in the departmental improvement process on a routine basis by ensuring that all quality control measures are followed and properly documented. Completes all chain of custody related processes in regards to the dispensing of controlled substances. Reviews, identifies, reports, and documents potential adverse drug reporting of medications.
