Bank of America N.A. has an opportunity for a AVP; Software Engineer II to provide technical excellence to design, develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain and test software technology applications to support business units or supporting functions. Utilize technologies such as Java, Python, Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, Red Hat BRMS, Angular JS, Oracle RDBMS and Apache Cassandra. Work with product owners to understand and document desired software application capabilities and testing scenarios. Work with Fraud Line of Business partners in authoring Strategies for fraud detection, which is critical step for identifying fraudulent transactions. Provide solutions for software application programs that allow Fraud Line of Business to meet business objectives. Contribute to development for Fraud Rule Management System using underlying technologies like Red Hat BRMS, Drools, Angular JS and Apache Cassandra. Plan and participate in resiliency and other enterprise governance activities to mitigate risk. Collaborate with team members and partners to enable timely delivery of software application Programs. Work on monitoring/ improving software application performance and other key metrics to avoid/ reduce business risk. Contribute to team discussions for adopting best practices and improving process. Develop Microservices using Java and Spring Framework. Implement Message Oriented Middleware using Apache Kafka and IBM MQ. Develop rule-based knowledge systems and workflows using Red Hat BRMS. Develop and operationalize Machine Learning Data Pipelines implemented using Apache Hive and Apache Spark. Utilize mature Cl/CD practices to implement, deploy and operate apps. Develop apps with Security first development practice, addressing all the enterprise thread model baselines.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related; and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation. Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following: Developing Microservices using Java and Spring Framework; Implementing Message Oriented Middleware using Apache Kafka and IBM MQ; Developing rule based knowledge systems and workflows using Red Hat BRMS; Developing and operationalizing Machine Learning Data Pipelines implemented using Apache Hive and Apache Spark; Utilizing mature Cl/CD practices to implement, deploy and operate apps; and, Developing apps with Security first development practice, addressing all the enterprise thread model baselines.
