You will report directly to the Associate Vice President (A-VP) of Chemistries and Supplies Division (CSD) R&D and will lead a global team of over 20+ R&D scientists, engineers, and technicians to deliver innovative and high-quality new products for CSD. You will have a consistent record of leading R&D teams and proven success in collaborating cross-functionally and cross-organizationally to deliver business results. We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic, and strategic leader that can encourage and empower the Supplies and Shared Capabilities R&D organization to deliver on their commitments to Supplies business and overall Agilent.
In conjunction with the A-VP CSD R&D and Supplies Leadership team, develops, implements, and communicates the strategic and technology direction for the Supplies product portfolio
Responsibility for the technical quality of all R&D execution of the Supplies and Shared Capabilities R&D organization ensuring R&D commitments to multiple Projects Managers are met on time and specification seeking continuously to introduce innovative technology solutions that provide differentiated products performance for Agilent's customers
Use dynamic and agile resources planning techniques to ensure the personnel and resources in the organization are balanced and assigned to the highest priority projects and initiatives across multiple CSD Businesses. Effectively manage and communicate the status of resources deployment and availability against overall priorities
Collaborate with business and product leadership in contributing to evolving the vision for product and workflow solutions that drive customer value, efficiency, and productivity
Ensure formal design reviews, and appropriate product design documentation procedures are completed within the teams and controlled according to the R&D processes and quality expectations within R&D management as a routine process
Build a diversified and dynamic team by attracting and recruiting top talent and developing staff, technologies, skills, and processes across a variety of engineering fields. Mentor team members by providing career development goals, professional development and driving continuous improvement of all organizational activities while adapting skills and process to the ever-evolving business needs through training and development of all members of the organization
Engage an independent evidence-based view of the technical marketplace and customer environment to provide additional input on product roadmaps, in concert with product marketing teams and towards the R&D vision for the Supplies Business SPR
Work with Order Fulfillment/Supply chain management to ensure a smooth handover and product scale up from R&D to manufacturing
Actively work with the CSD Supplies staff to establish R&D objectives (quality, cost, schedule, and features), including managing these items' changes
