Responsibilities

As a Senior Analyst on our Public Sector Financial Services team, you will be working on a project to modernize applications and move them to a new platform including Cloud. You will analyze functional and non-functional requirements, develop user stories, and work closely with stakeholders, enterprise and application architects, database administrators and developers to ensure technical and system requirements are accounted for, while the project is completed in a timely manner. Specific responsibilities will include:

+ System analysis that will leverage your technical background, working in conjunction with both internal and customer technical stakeholders

+ Work with Guidehouse team and government leaders, product owners, and end-users to understand current state business processes, develop future state processes with next generation systems/applications, delivery training, risk management, and successfully support end-user adoption

+ Plan for technical project execution, tracking, presenting and incorporating data-driven metrics to drive improvements, defining and recording current and future business processes and identifying potential improvements

+ Partner closely with Program and Project Managers, Project Architect / Technical Lead, and our client stakeholders

+ Perform system analysis to define technical requirements, acceptance criteria, conceptual diagrams, flow charts, and use cases

+ Critically review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and customer needs, producing clear stories and documentation

+ Recommend and assist with the implementation of agile team structure

+ Work with Architect / Tech Lead to plan for execution of technical roadmaps

+ Liaise with internal and external project stakeholders to help coordinate agile across the large program

+ Manage existing and define new process flows to identify improvement opportunities

+ Oversee all procedural documentation and security approval requirements throughout the development lifecycle

+ Prepare and deliver status updates, working sessions, and program area updates

Qualifications

Required:

+ 3+ years of technical or analyst experience in enterprise application systems

+ Good understanding of Agile development life cycle and knowledge in both Agile and traditional project management

+ Experience working on software development project, including the ability to interface with customer to help clearly define scope and requirements

+ Ability to synthesize requirements into planning for development, test, and production deployment of an enterprise software system

+ Detailed understanding of software development life cycles

+ Detailed software development and operational systems knowledge

+ Experience with .NET, Cold Fusion, Java Script, C# and SQL

+ High proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word

+ High proficiency with presentation and web communication tools

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff

+ Self-starter with strong self-management skills to organize multiple priorities

+ Ability to attain Federal Government Position of Trust

Preferred:

+ Familiar with information technology architecture, governance, and data exchange

+ Familiarity working with a cloud hosting provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)

+ Familiarity with Federal Government projects

+ Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and its influence on system requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

Additional Requirements

+ The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described

+ This position is available virtually from PST, CST or EST time zones but preference will be given to candidates in the New York metro area; travel to NY will be required for candidates not local to NY

+ Due to our contractual requirements, COVID vaccination is required at the time of hire

+ Must be a U.S. citizen, foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States or resident alien
