The successful candidate will conduct research towards developing new to the world, sustainable chemistries for the pulp and paper industry. This work will include molecule synthesis, formulation development, prototype testing and process research. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in one or more complex R&D program(s) under the supervision of a Principal Investigator.
Qualifications:
BS or MS in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Molecular or Microbiology, or Chemical Engineering
Familiarity with lab methods related to organic chemistry or polymer synthesis,
Familiarity with basic chemical analysis: evaluating material or polymer properties, analytical chemistry, or physical chemistry.
Excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, a pragmatic attitude, a scientific approach to problem solving, and the ability to become a leader in a broad technical area of importance to Solenis are essential.
Authorized to work in the United States.
• A background in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Molecular or Microbiology, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience in organic synthesis, polymer synthesis, or molecular biology.
• Must be able to pass company physical and pre-employment drug testing
