Our Discovery Chemistry group is looking for a Computational Chemist.
The ideal candidate will work within a team of industry-seasoned molecular designers to deliver computational chemistry support to internal small molecule discovery programs. Collaborative work will involve executing computational chemistry strategy to drive problem solving within the project teams. In addition, they will contribute to the development of the department's capabilities
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
PhD or equivalent experience in Computational Chemistry, Cheminformatics, Biophysics or a related subject
Expertise in drug design, small molecule discovery and/or protein dynamics
Strong presentation and communication skills and a good publication record
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Experience in supporting medicinal chemistry projects through data analysis and structural modelling
Knowledge of structure-based and ligand-based drug design techniques for virtual screening, cheminformatics and molecular simulations
Experience in AI/machine learning, statistical modelling and generative design for drug discovery
Scripting/programming skills (e.g. Python, Perl, Java, C++ etc.) and working with Jupyter notebooks
