Job Responsibilities

Air Liquide Research and Development in Newark, DE is seeking a student enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Chemistry program, preferably from the University of Delaware, i.e., selected candidate will be familiar with course content from CHEM 111H and CHEM 115H, for a full-time summer paid internship, in our Life Sciences research group.
The selected applicant will work on Water and Wastewater Treatment Projects under the supervision of Senior Staff Scientist and will report to the Life Sciences group manager. Technical, organizational, and communication skills, a "can-do" attitude are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities
SupportSenior Staff Scientist in conductingstudies in which industrial gasses are applied to Water/Wastewater Treatment projects.
Provide technical support in designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data and documenting procedures.

Enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Chemistry program, familiar with course content similar to CHEM111H and CHEM115H.
General knowledge of wastewater treatment process chemistry and biology.
Forward-thinking and able to contribute to scientific/technical discussions.
Strong command of English language, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively.
Basic computer software skills including MS Office and Google Platforms.
Ability to work in a team.
Qualitative and quantitative reasoning, experimental design and analysis;clear communication

Some weekend work required
