Our Discovery Biology function is looking for a motivated scientist in our Pharmacokeinetics group. This position will be responsible for maintaining the schedule and prepare doses for Discovery pharmacokinetic studies and conducts in vitro ADME assays including bioanalytical analysis using LC-MS/MS.
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
Work closely with medicinal chemists and DMPK scientists to formulate research compounds for weekly pharmacokinetic studies.
* Prepare Discovery PK Study Request forms, Dose Preparation sheets and review protocols for contracted studies.
* Schedule and manage Discovery Pharmacokinetic studies in-house and with CROs.
* Review and process work orders and invoices for contracted studies.
* Perform general lab functions; preparing buffers, organizing test articles, ordering consumables, etc.
Conduct in vitro ADME assays including INCL, protein binding, CYP inhibition, etc. when needed. Analyze samples using LC-MS/MS. Report data to Discovery teams.
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
* Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Science, or General Chemistry with 1 - 5 years of laboratory experience. Will consider recent a graduate with an exceptional CV.
* Competency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
* Experience operating analytical balances and manual pipettes.
* Demonstrate attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently.
