Our Team

The Authentication team partners with Operations, Technology, Fraud Risk and Business leadership to create a seamless experience for our customers, as they navigate the Chase environment. We focus on establishing authentication methods, which support our customers interaction preferences, while continually evolving the organization’s capabilities. Our goal is to provide easy, secure options across Digital, Call Centers and Branches, while looking to simplify the experience across these channels, for a diverse population of customers. The team follows a hypothesis-driven, data-informed approach to identify opportunities and create effective, scalable, well controlled solutions. We are a critical component of the customer service journey and maintain a service-oriented attitude in all that we do.

Job Summary/Overview

In this role, you will analyze digital interaction behavior, in order to detect unsanctioned automated activity, across the Authentication, Aggregation and Digital Account Opening (DAO) areas, along with additional use cases. You will put your skills to use in the Splunk environment, where you’ll have an opportunity to gain experience leveraging available machine learning tools and capabilities. You will partner with the Perimeter Security Engineering, Aggregator, DAO teams, along with a contracted vendor solution team, to develop, deploy and validate bot prevention rules. To be successful in this role, you will need to continually evolve our ability to prevent automated attacks, while expanding our detection capabilities.

Responsibilities include

+ Partner with US and India technology Perimeter teams, the Aggregator team and the DAO team to monitor the environment for automated attacks

+ Partner with the same teams to automate monitoring capabilities

+ Partner with those teams to react to automated attacks with a ‘deflection’ rule

+ Support Product Owner and Area Product Owners with assessing the efficacy of existing tools can capabilities in order to develop recommended enhancements

QUALIFICATIONS

+ 3-5+ years of SQL and / or SAS experience

+ Experience utilizing Splunk, and its’ ML tools will be beneficial

+ Ability to apply analytical techniques to large data sets

+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

+ Experience working with globally distributed teams

+ In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles, including use of Agile project management tools (i.e., Confluence, JIRA, Git, etc.)

+ Ability to tell a story using data

+ Excellent organizational, time and project management skills

+ Sharp analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills
