Job Description

Are you a SAS programming expert with experience leading data management and analytics activities for research studies? Do you also want to lead and mentor a team of younger professionals? Then come join our team!

ICF is seeking a Senior SAS Analyst & Team Lead with experience developing and overseeing data management and analytical processes/systems of varying complexity. If successful, you will work with teams of data managers, analysts, statisticians, and project managers and will be responsible for developing process specifications, best practice guidelines, and other documentation such as users guides, etc. You will also perform other tasks, including data cleaning, editing specifications and code, performing, and overseeing analyses, and providing technical writing support. This position can be fully REMOTE.

What you’ll do…

+ Lead development of efficient data management and analytical processes and systems

+ Provide leadership and mentor junior technical staff honing their skills in data cleaning, data production, analysis, and sampling/weighting

+ Lead development of data management and analytical documentation including data user’s guides, codebooks, and public use dataset documentation

+ Provide support and technical direction to project management staff on recommendations for technical and analytical best practices to achieve study goals

+ Develop data cleaning specifications and code to support post-fielding and final dataset production

+ Develop and maintain quality control procedures for internal and client deliverables

+ Lead development of analytical plans, technical report development and writing

+ Support technical portfolio business development activities; contribute to proposal development as necessary

+ Support innovation in tackling complex data and analytical problems

+ Lead opportunities for ICF reputation building through participation in national and regional conferences

What you must have:

+ Bachelor’s in public health, social science, mathematics, or relevant related degree

+ At least 8 years of applied and demonstrable data management and analytical experience

+ At least Base SAS certification; Advanced SAS certification a plus

+ Knowledge of and basic skills to support use of SPSS, STATA, SQL, R, and Python preferred

+ Statistical background and knowledge of study sampling is preferred
