American Air Liquide, Inc. seeks a Senior Research Scientist – Spin on Deposition to work in Newark, Delaware to be:

Responsible for performing Spin on Deposition processes used in thin film manufacturing processes in the semiconductor, automotive, aerospace and healthcare industries. Incorporate various analytical techniques, surface analysis and testing procedures to evaluate new materials and processes that offer solutions to technological challenges in the industry. Develop business collaborations for Air Liquide to ensure that the new technology and materials can be implemented by our customers. Serve as a safety role model and promote a high level of safety awareness while adhering to and supporting the continuous improvement of all safety practices and procedures. Work on projects involving Spin on Deposition processes. Design spin on deposition formulations and engage in process evaluation. This includes the evaluation of the new formulations in various spin, cure, and annealing process evaluations and the building of knowledge on the formulation structure and functional relationship based on Spin on Deposition process performance. Develop and evaluate surface cleans, formulating, coating, curing, testing, and characterizing thin used in semiconductor applications. Promote innovative development of Air Liquide's intellectual property and prepare presentation material for internal and external meetings and conferences. Develop new formulations and processes working closely with other experts in Air Liquide. Develop and sustain new customer, OEM, and academic relationships. Interact with Air Liquide global business and marketing teams and with global R&D to lead and foster customer interactions, participate and present at technical conferences, support operations and product development teams, support building the business case and product definition with the global business teams, and lead or participate in Industrial partnerships and academic collaborations. Lead the effort for new investments in equipment and capability to expand the Air Liquide capability in Spin on Deposition.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of relevant experience with spin on deposition materials research, Semiconductor materials research.
