Senior Associate, Consumer Marketing Risk Management

The Consumer Marketing Team focuses on marketing our Consumer Bank products through various channels, including both new and always-on campaigns. Marketing risk managers work through unstructured problems and manage change while demonstrating superior problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, and leadership presence.

Responsibilities
As a Risk Manager, you will:

Advise and consult with self-directed teams to help develop well-designed campaigns and processes

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with product/campaign owners, process managers, compliance advisors, legal counsel, auditors, and other risk managers

Manage multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines

Coordinate work between multiple areas and engage in multiple work streams, simultaneously; leveraging/influencing business partners to drive results

Partner with Retail Bank groups to document policies, processes, standards, and procedures to facilitate/demonstrate compliance with laws and regulations

Oversee risk event remediation impacting customers stemming from process breakdowns or other problems, developing permanent corrective actions

Support partner well-managed activities, second line of defense assurance reviews, internal audits, and regulatory exams

Maintain knowledge of the company's current payments technology, processes and infrastructure, along with knowledge of new capabilities in the industry and understanding the potential impact to Capital One

Basic Qualifications

High School diploma, GED, or military experience

At least 1 year of experience in Risk, Marketing, Process or Product Management

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or military experience

Business Process Management certification

2+ years of experience in Risk, Marketing, Process or Product Management
