Manager, Technology Risk Guide
Capital One Enterprise Technology Risk Management is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Manager, Technology Risk Guide professional to join our dynamic and collaborative team!
Technology Risk Guide Management professionals at Capital One are the first line of defense to ensure our Company remains well-managed and profitable. They are highly motivated, experienced, credentialed Risk Management professionals that are forward thinking, quick to adapt, and technologically adept. These skills allow them to gain insights, and act as a change agent to influence technology partners. As a member of the Enterprise Tech Risk Management Team, the candidate will focus on reviews of critical technology functions including cloud-based technology, emerging technology, compliance requirements required by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and cybersecurity risks. The candidate will be aligned to the Capital One Software (COS) Division and will partner across Technology, Divisional CIO, Top of House well managed teams, Cyber Security teams and will have a high level of exposure across all lines of business. The candidate will collaborate with second lines of defense to lead and implement risk and control tools, techniques, and frameworks for the Technology organization, as well as provide direct Tech Risk guide services into our first line Divisional CIO team(s). The candidate will have the opportunity to create and implement innovative solutions to appropriately mitigate risks and support best-in-class industry risk solutions in a manner that supports innovation and protects our customers, shareholders and associates within the Capital One Software (COS) organization.
Serve as the primary Technology Risk Guide for Capital One Software (COS) Divisional CIO and Top of House Leadership Team, respective Engineering teams to help make informed SaaS Technology Risk decisions
Collaborate and build successful relationships with Technology Application Teams, Enterprise and Capital One Software (COS) Risk, Cyber and other business support functions (e.g., Business Risk Office) to guide, educate and influence on risk program requirements to the Division
Understand the broader context and implications (e.g., financial, legal, reputational, etc.) of the various types of risk affecting the COS technology function
Contribute to Risk Control and Self Assessments (RCSAs), Targeted Risk Assessments (TRAs), Control Self Assessments (CSAs), Process Level Assessments (PLAs), Exceptions and Application Risk Assessments (ARAs) to verify the design and operating effectiveness of existing controls as well as identify and track control gaps/issues to remediation, build tools, templates, and job aids.
Evaluate new products and initiatives from the technology risk perspective through the new product governance (NPMIG) process, technology risk assessment framework stemming from a material tech and cyber change
Support the evaluation of and improvement of the control environment for the Capital One Software (COS) Technology organization
Support documentation of processes and process flow diagrams, controls reporting dashboards and controls health monitoring
Analyze data to proactively identify risks and trends and prepare Divisional reporting for Executive Leadership
Understand regulatory requirements and anticipate changes to help ensure proper alignment with internal requirements and frameworks
Participate in enterprise Tech Risk forums and relevant councils
Manage, and govern deliverables for enterprise programs and initiatives.
Bachelor's Degreeor military experience
At least 5 years experience in Technology or Operational Risk, IT Internal or External Audit, or a combination
At least 5 years of experience performing data analysis in support of internal risk assessments, PCI assessments and control reviews
