Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership
Understanding that leadership is a privilege and the measurement of your success comes through the success of others
Develop the strategic roadmap for your core function - Service Delivery & Operations which aligns with the greater IT strategy and business objectives
Drive enhancement and improvement of your function understanding the interconnectedness of People, Process, & Technology
Engage with business stakeholders on projects and through submitted requests to optimize the business in a drive toward consistency of operations through technology
Recruit, Hire, Empower, Promote, and Retain a world-class IT organization built for growth & scale
Communicate with IT and business leadership on key decisions affecting the organization with an ability to present at an executive level
Exhibit Certara and IT core values while leading and mentoring a team of technology professionals to accomplish the responsibilities of this role
Ability to drive decisions using data from disparate systems in support of thoughtful decisions

Training and Culture
Foster a culture of transparency and high-performance in the organization with emphasis on unifying business groups and providing insight across organizational teams
Build from within by providing opportunities for team members and ensuring career advancement
Believe in and promote the concept of a meritocracy to ensure team members at all levels have a voice and can share ideas to enhance the business

Technical Acumen & Project Facilitation
Maintain high levels of technical competency for your area of expertise as part of your role in support of senior technical staff
Understand functional requirements of IT areas in Service Delivery, Infrastructure, Business Applications, Project Management, and Compliance to work collaboratively
Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables with ability to forecast ability to execute future projects
Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
Qualifications:
12+ years of IT experience with a demonstrated track record of advancement and escalating responsibilities
6+ years in a technical leadership role in more than one organization; life sciences, software, or services organizations preferred
6+ years in a hands-on technical role with one of more areas of subject matter expertise & depth
Experience with Security, Audit, Risk Management and compliance expected (SOX, ISO)
Experience and knowledge of regulations and laws related to IT-related standards globally
Broad knowledge of business functions and how technology can augment those functions
Proficiency with agile or other program management methodologies & associated tooling
Adept at building processes, project management, and delivering commitments on time
Expertise working on large and deeply transformative projects with focus on change management
High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
Familiar with business applications & data integration solutions
Resourceful in an ambiguous environment
Exceptional problem solving and communication skills
