Description

 

Key Roles:
Project Engineering Manager for large capital projects
Safe, on-time, on-budget execution of capital projects
Provide engineering expertise to plants
Responsible for maintaining corporate engineering standards
Support plants on capital projects (design review, standards and project specific specifications)
Key Attributes:
Fundamental belief and demonstrated behaviors that safety & compliance is one of the most critical aspects to the Project Engineering Leader role.
Safety, compliance, and the overall Responsible Care process is supported by the Project Engineer Leader through demonstrating safety leadership, by participation and example.
Outstanding communication skills and able to interact with other Corporate Staff groups, hourly plant personnel, as well as plant staffs.
Understand and lead efforts around teamwork structures.
Lead by example.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Self-managed.
Technical problem-solving capabilities.
Above average computer skills. 

 


Qualifications

 

BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience in a chemical operation
Capital Project Management experience is required - including projects > 1M
Familiarity with engineering codes and standards
Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, minimum
SAP experience is highly desirable
Ability to travel domestically 25-50%; willingness to travel globally if needed
