External Client Assurance Analyst (Remote Eligible)
Cyber External Client Assurance, a component of Cyber within Capital One, is focused on risk and control management, capabilities assessments, API due diligence and compliance to cyber policies to address client oversight. The organization is responsible for supporting the governance activities to identify, assess, control, and manage cyber risk for services being contemplated for externalization by the Capital One organization.
Associates within Cyber External Client Assurance are skilled information security, cyber, technology, or risk management professionals who have experience and an ability to self motivate in unknown environments while supporting appropriate control processes and change management that ensure a well-managed organization.
This position will serve as part of the core team for driving assessment responses and deal coordination for managing Cyber risk, API consumption, and product externalization. The demands and high-visibility nature of this position require an expert with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment who can begin contributing immediately. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Engage and understand third party assessments and processes for the Cyber organization to promote a professional response to client requests
Support the organization to identify risk of client deals and help prepare materials to enable risk based decisions
Document and define cyber risks and controls in the system of record and support monitoring for compliance with established requirements or remediation timelines
Assist in drafting, scoping, and overseeing coordination of reports, or independent testing results for external consumption, or other internal or external bodies as appropriate
Engage with business customers looking to progress the completion of independent control programs where Cyber is a key component function
Job Requirements:
Detailed knowledge and experience in industry standard tools to perform job responsibilities
Experience and working knowledge in auditing techniques and accounting and control procedures and techniques
Demonstrate a strong ability to analyze information and data
Equate information security, business continuity, and operational controls with business risk
Work with diverse contacts throughout the world to achieve results
Communicate technical issues to non-technical people
Demonstrate collaborative partnership skills for working with various points of contact
Demonstrate strong problem-solving and conceptual thinking abilities
Demonstrate a capacity to think broadly but go deep into subject matter when needed

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 3 years of experience in Information Security
At least 2 years of experience in a Risk Management role related to Information Security, Business Continuity Management, or Supply Chain Management
At least 2 years of experience communicating and presenting to senior management
Preferred Qualifications:
CISA, CISSP, CPA, or CIA certification
1+ years of experience working in the financial services industry
1+ years of experience utilizing GRC solutions
1+ years of experience with cloud-based environments
