The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Filling all open positions for Kuehne Chemical. Passion for recruiting/HR with a focus on strong candidate engagement.
Recruitment, Hiring, and Onboarding
Drives the recruitment and hiring activities, including the development of job ads/postings, screening of resumes, scheduling interviews, processing, background checks, sending letters to candidates, onboarding new employees, etc.
Oversees preparation of interview.
Arranges interview meetings, travel, and accommodation for applicants and company managers when necessary.
Attends and conducts interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. Consults with hiring managers to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the organization's needs.
Checks candidates references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.
Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities.
Create &/or support recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
Oversee continuous development and delivery of new hire orientation training at all Kuehne locations (traveling is required)
Follows each step of the pre-onboarding checklist
Fully versed in Company benefits and policies (Union and non-union)
Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
Maintains all human resources recruiting related documents, such as requisition information, EEO, employment applications, resumes, backgrounds, onboarding documents.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other areas within the company.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones. This job requires regular visits to the transportation department, maintenance department, and operations department.
Some overnight travel is expected for this position to seminars in NJ, DE and all the Kuehne plants located in (NJ, DE, CT)
Education and Experience:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in HR-related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least seven years managing all phases of recruiting and hiring processes highly preferred.
SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus
Experience with full-cycle recruiting
Experience with candidate management and candidate sourcing (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.)
Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact with all levels throughout the organization professionally.
Excellent computer skills. Computer literate in MS Office, specifically Word (letters, label merging), Excel (pivot tables), Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Proficient with social media platforms as well as office computer applications and software.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task and maintain focus and discipline.
Outstanding writing, editing, data entry, and proofreading skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to acquire and maintain in good standing order, as per TSA's TWIC criteria (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
Must pass a ten (10) panel controlled testing and random testing after that.
Valid driver's license.
Must be comfortable working in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
