JPMorgan Chase & Co. has an opening for an Associate, Software Engineering position in Wilmington, Delaware.
Duties: Responsible for full lifecycle development of applications from designing to implementation. Participate in Agile activities like sprint planning and user story reviews. Develop SOAP and RESTful based Spring Web Services to publish messages to systems of record. Develop Web Service contracts using JSON, XML and XSD with constraints and key references. Configure applications for use with Oracle and Cassandra Database. Develop unit test cases, functional test cases and test clients utilizing JUnit and Mockito frameworks. Develop health checks and security monitors to track application health in production. Configure Kafka topics and develop Cassandra tables for asynchronous communication with core main frame applications. Build automated regression test case suite using Cucumber. Responsible for production support, triage and resolving production issues. Participate in Performance Testing and application performance tuning activities using Jmeter, Blazemeter and Dynatrace. Create monitoring dashboards and alerts using Splunk. Configure CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) pipelines using Jenkins. Implement Application Security using Active Directory Federation Service and OAUTH. Support peer reviews. Mentor, train and develop less experienced developers.
Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or a related field.
Minimum experience required: Five (5) years of Application Development, or related experience.
Minimum skills required: Employer requires one (1) year of professional experience with all of the following skills: experience in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies; experience in programming language Java including tools Eclipse, IntelliJ; experience with Cassandra; experience in open source frameworks Spring Framework, Spring Integration & Spring Web Services; experience in testing frameworks Cucumber and Junit; experience in CI/CD including Maven, Git, and Jenkins; experience in monitoring Splunk, Dynatrace; and experience in performance testing Blazemeter and JMeter.
