About this role

The Strategic Initiatives Office (SIO) is a centralized function within the Aladdin Product Group (APG). The goal of this new function is to structure, and program manage strategic initiatives as APG enters its next evolution.

As a member of the SIO team, you will own delivery of specific strategic projects by executing with clear project plans, determining, and assigning tasks for project completion, and ensuring each project is delivered on time.

You are passionate about continuous improvement, constantly assessing the status quo, identifying opportunities for improvement, optimization, and providing constructive solutions to simplify and accelerate current programs and processes.

This team will spend mindshare on the top strategic projects for APG. These projects span a range of topics, from tech initiatives (e.g., Cloud, Business Services and APIs) to commercial projects (e.g., Design System, Client Portfolio Solutions) to operations (e.g. Metrics, Resourcing). The team will partner with colleagues across APG and beyond to ensure each initiative is being managed appropriately and is set up to maximize success.

Key Responsibilities:

Looking for a lead program manager who can stand up complex initiatives/programs from scratch. Comfortable clearly defining a program’s structure and goals without fear of failure. Ability to build relationships with senior and junior team members quickly and leveraging those relationships for a common goal via influence and persuasion.

Project Management:

+ Formulate and define project scope and objectives, based upon both business & employee needs

+ Build project schedules and workload, ensuring completion on time and on budget

+ Lead initiatives across a diversity of methodologies including disciplined agile practices to ensure consistency and predictability of delivery cycles and value as well as critical path time to market.

+ Optimize for iterative delivery to drive value across user experience, business value, technical feasibility, and business viability.

+ Actively participate and lead in project tasks both, strategically and tactically, while supporting prioritization of projects across the team

+ Critical metric cadence, tracking, measurement, reporting

+ A hands-on approach to leading projects and the ability to dive deeply into business and technology goals and ensure the best outcomes for clients.

Communication:

+ Thoughtful and sensitive in style/approach

+ Clearly communicate complex information to guide decisions

+ Ability to influence partners to take action/facilitate consensus of recommendations

+ Optimizing team connect points, ensuring meetings are relevant and productive

Essential Qualifications:

+ Experience leading large technology focused programs

+ Significant complex/cross-functional project management experience

+ Desire to use data to drive decision-making

+ Consistent record in thinking strategically and focus on business growth.
