Job Summary

AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to support water and wastewater projects in Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal wastewater collection and treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful business in Pennsylvania and nearby states working on a diverse range of technically challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Lead multi-discipline and complex wastewater projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects.

+ Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects.

+ Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff.

+ Have decision-making authority and direct others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.

+ Deliver revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business.

+ Lead business development activities, including pursuing new clients and projects and serving as leader of proposal efforts.

+ Actively participate in professional organizations like Water Environment Federation and American Water Works Association

We deliver our services-from environmental planning studies to detailed design, construction management, and operations and maintenance-to a wide range of public and private sector clients. Our public sector work encompasses everything from small rural communities, to large urban centers, to agencies with regional responsibilities. Our private sector work includes assignments for multiple commercial/industrial sectors, including oil and gas, chemicals, power, food and beverage, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.

Minimum Requirements

+ BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 6+ years of related experience in wastewater treatment, pumping and collection systems.

+ Registered Professional Engineer.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of wastewater and water resources and client/consultant relations experience.

+ Willingness and ability to travel within Pennsylvania and nearby states.

Preferred Qualifications

+ 10+ years of related experience in water/wastewater consulting and engineering management.

+ Registered Professional Engineer licensed in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Participation in water community activities including Water Environment Federation and American Water Works Association

+ Proven ability to lead business development activities.

+ Proven leader with an interest in developing and mentoring team members and demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams.
