Job Description

The Analysis & Fine Chemistry group in Air Liquide’s Delaware Innovation Campus in Newark, Delaware is seeking a talented, collaborator, highly motivated undergraduate or graduate student to join our multidisciplinary group supporting the development of new chemistries for high-tech industrial applications. This team develops and tunes targeted molecules to suit customers application processes for use in electronics, automotive, aerospace and healthcare industries. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysis related projects for gases used for semiconductor application. The analysis will primarily use FTIR and potentially other gas phase analysis methods to analyze, identify and quantify gas components and impurities. Experience working with FTIR is highly desired. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Promote a high level of safety awareness and continuous improvement in safety practices.  Understand safety elements and handling of chemicals. Be proactive in learning new elements during internal trainings. 
  • Perform experiments in the lab and document all the results
  • Report experimental results in reports and presentations to group members, group manager and project stakeholders
  • Literature review on assigned research topic and report the results
  • Establish a reputation for quality and timeliness of technical communications.
