The Sr Lead Security Professional will serve as Security Director supporting Lumen Professional Security Services (PSS) customers. The candidate will oversee and manage the implementation and operational support of professional Security Services. This role must possess broad technical knowledge of current and emerging technologies used both within the corporate infrastructure and in delivering customer-facing services. In addition, this role is also responsible for delivering security services and providing thought leadership leveraging emerging security capabilities to achieve customer business objectives in accordance with industry standards, best practices, and well-defined procedures
The Main Responsibilities
+ Provide technical support to assist the SOC team and/or SOC engineer teams
+ Ensure compliance to customer Service Level Agreements (SLA) and security monitoring and incident response processes
+ Oversee technical meetings and workgroup sessions with relevant SMEs and customers
+ Develop project proposals and plans to comply with contract and RFP commitments and manages customer expectations
+ Oversee customer incidents and requests, as well as any daily activity encountered during the daily operations
+ Collaborate with technical and business SMEs to identify gaps to enhance security services
+ Maintain industry training and keep up to date on security technologies, threats, and risk mitigation techniques
+ Interface with customers on daily basis to consult with them on best security practices and help them mature their security posture
+ Review procedures and processes to make recommendations to customers and provide security governance
+ Act as a liaison between security SMEs and customer stakeholders during incident handling and communicate incidents at an appropriate level of details with all levels of the organization
What We Look For in a Candidate
Job Skills Required:
+ 5+ years of Information Security experience & 2+ years of experience in a management role leading a security service team
+ Strong understanding of security principles such as attack frameworks, threat landscapes, attacker TTPs, etc
+ Working experience with integration with different security systems and devices
+ Familiarization with a variety of information and network security monitoring tools (SIEM, EDR, email security, DNS security, cloud security, SOC services)
+ Experience in leading a technical staff and possess strong communications skills and presenting technical issues to a wide variety of audiences
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience
