The Sr Lead Security Professional will serve as Technical Director supporting Lumen Professional Security Services (PSS) customers. The candidate will oversee and manage the implementation and operational support of Network Security Services. Our Network Security Engineer team will be responsible for implementation and administration of network security hardware and software, enforcing network security policies and compliance requirements. This role is responsible for delivering security services and providing thought leadership leveraging emerging security capabilities to achieve customer business objectives in accordance with industry standards, best practices, and well-defined procedures
The Main Responsibilities
+ Provide technical support including administration of firewalls & VPNs and other security appliances
+ Identify, prevent, and respond to security services requests proactively
+ Assess new or enhanced security products and services across networks, systems, and applications to ensure smooth delivery to security stakeholders
+ Interfaces with customers and associates to resolve complex customer issues and and improve procedures accordingly
+ Plan and manage of strategic and operational projects in efforts to achieve overall goals
+ Identify areas for improvement of network security services
+ Oversee customer incidents and requests, as well as any daily activity encountered during the daily operations
+ Ensure that program activities comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards
+ Gain and maintain knowledge of Customer’s business and technical environment
+ Maintain industry training and keep up to date on security technologies, threats, and risk mitigation techniques
What We Look For in a Candidate
+ 5+ years of Information Security experience & 2+ years of experience in a management role leading a security service team
+ Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, L2/L3 switches
+ Experience with security products firewalls, IPSec, IDS/IPS, Anti-Spam, virus scanning
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
+ Experience in leading a technical staff and possess strong communications skills and presenting technical issues to a wide variety of audiences
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
+ Fortinet NSE4 and higher certifications
+ Palo Alto
+ Cisco networking certifications
