Position Overview
The Senior Product Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing, Software and will lead
marketing strategy, execution, market research, and competitive analysis for specified software
products. This position includes but is not limited to supporting sales and business development with
strategies and marketing materials, launching product releases and new products with strategies and
materials, coordinating with product management on product development roadmap and strategies,
obtaining market and customer input, creating inbound and outbound lead generation campaigns and
marketing content, and managing digital marketing initiatives. The individual will be responsible for
product specific data-driven marketing recommendations and decisions supported by data and market
research.
Responsibilities
Go-to-Market Strategy
-Develop marketing and go-to-market (GTM) strategy plans, while overseeing the marketing
activities for both prospects and clients
-Develop impactful marketing campaigns to support GTM strategic objectives
-Track and report key marketing campaign metrics
-Advocate for voice of the customer to inform product roadmap and marketing campaigns
-Work collaboratively with sales and product management teams on product launches and
development projects
Product Positioning and Messaging
-Define the messaging and positioning for each product and new product features for both
clients and prospects
-Create marketing and product-related content such as website, brochures, white papers, case
studies and presentations
Competitive Intelligence
-Analyze competitor and alternative offerings in the market, assess their strengths and
weaknesses, and develop a strategy for winning against the competition
Market Research
-Identify and validate urgent, pervasive problems in the market
- Analyze competitor and alternative offerings in the market, assess their strengths and

Thought Leadership
- Generate insightful & compelling content (webinars, blogs, whitepapers, etc.) to influence
customers, buyers, industry specialists, research analysts, etc.
-Work with appropriate subject matter experts and other stakeholders in thought leadership
development
Sales Tools/Training
-Work closely with sales to understand their challenges and needs relative to selling the offering,
and create and maintain sales tools to help sales succeed such as, overcoming objections,
frequently asked questions, competitive positioning statements, etc.
-Enable sales readiness for all new product launches and releases
-Ensure new and updated training materials are maintained within sales platform
Event and Sales Support
-Provide product and market expertise and support for tradeshows and events such as user
group meetings and local seminars
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, and/or Communications or related fields
* 5+ years' experience in product marketing positions in a global business-to-business sales
environment
* Enterprise software experience, preferably including cloud-based solutions
* Experience in pharmaceutical, contract research organization, or life sciences
* Strong oral and written communications skills
