Description

 

Timely filling of packaged finished products while maintaining equipment in a safe clean manner. Have the ability to troubleshoot while working independently to maintain equipment in top condition. Receives filling instructions via packaging schedules and run-off / bagging sheets with appropriate labels. Obtain sample and approval from lab. Sets up equipment, lines up appropriate transfer lines and fills packaging to schedule requirements. Clears lines on completion and isolates valves and storage tanks as required. Complete a handover for on-coming shifts as appropriate. Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Receive, store, maintain and distribute all raw materials and packaging in a safe and efficient manner for the site. Maintain accurate cycle counts of raw materials and packaging for all locations in the plant and warehouse. Completes day duties as assigned, such as charging back blend, disposing of waste, ensuring RCRA compliance, etc. Report any mechanical issues as needed immediately to Supervision. Works closely with the production personnel. Capable of lifting 55lbs during the course of a shift, could include excessive standing, walking, bending, and / or climbing of stairs. Operates forklifts, for a variety of uses. Utilizes safe operation and sound maintenance practices with forklift trucks, and reports any repair needs. Observes all safety regulations and procedures in conducting work assignments, including reading and understanding Management of Changes. Participates in safety equipment checks, training programs, and conducts SAMACO inspections as required. Able to participate in accident / incident investigations. Also participates in PHAs and PSSRs where required. Ensure 5S activities are carried out in all areas. Inspect and keep work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly manner. Pursue all aspects of waste minimization (RCRA) to ensure proper disposition of products while understanding the process to generate waste on the site. Follows guidelines at all times concerning product sampling and testing of finished products. Assists maintenance or other work groups as assigned due to unusual plant work requirements to maintain efficient and effective plant operations. Compliance with site and corporate security practice is essential. Ability to generate labels and affix to packaging as required. Complete all Safety and Mandated training as per Solenis requirements. Member of ERT. Must participate in respiratory protection program. All other duties as assigned.

 


Qualifications

 

Education
* High School Diploma
Experience
* Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
* Respirator fit tested.
* Knowledge of pumps and valves preferred.
* Must be able to drive a forklift and lift 55 lbs. by hand.
* Computer literate, quick and efficient use of Microsoft Office, able to operate calculator, telephone, fax machine, copier, and computer printer.
* General knowledge of products and RCRA requirements, types of shipping containers used, characteristics of chemicals shipped, operation of forklift truck, safety rules... For full info follow application link.
